It is possible!

Over last week I was trying to find answer of this question. Is it possible to change Indians and India? or Is it possible to unite India under one tent to achieve commong goal of prosperity and peace? I have discussed the same with my friends and colleagues, but I only got negative answer. The task, to unite and change more than 1 billion people, is definitely not small and easy. These 1 billion people are not staying at one place, they are scattered around 6.5 lakhs villages, thousands of small towns and many big cities. Also all people are not following the same religion and are not from the same cast, which is big hurdle to unite all under one tent. Indians are even divided on basis of states. Even though we have best possible ways to communicate with people through latest mass communication technologies, this task seems impossible to many of us. Again the main problem is not just to communicate, but to convince and motivate people to achieve common goal of prosperity and peace. To find answer of this question, I turned to "The World Teacher".

"The World Teacher" gave me reference to two persons in Indian history who have almost achieved these tasks, to unite India under one tent and to motive them to achieve common goal. Chanakya and M. K. Gandhi alias Gandhi Bapu. I am not comparing both here, because both can’t be compared. There is difference of 2000 years between their life times. Chanakya had to unite India to stop foreign forces from invading India, while Gandhi Bapu had to unite India to get freedom from Britishers who were already ruling India. Both had different goal, but common way to achieve it. Chanakya was master of shrewd act of diplomacy. He believed in four ways, namely, Enticement, Sowing Dissension, Punishment or War. In contrast to Chanakya, Gandhi Bapu believed in non-violence and truth. Though both have different ideologies, the common thing between them was the skill to motivate people. They were able to transfer their motivational energy and skill to their followers and their followers were transferring the same to other people. Without any of today’s great technologies, their ideas were able to unite and motivate people far away from them. Swami Vivekananda was also one such great person who has tried to unite India, but not able to do it because of his death at very young age, but his teaching still motivates people.

Today India needs such great person who can motive and unite us. If God bless us with such person again, it is just matter of one month to change whole India and that is without using any kind of latest mass media technologies. If one person can motivate one person every day, India can be changed in month. I made one small calculation to check whether it is possible for one person to change whole India in one month if he or she can transfer his motivation energy and skill to his followers and his followers can do the same. It is something like multilevel marketing, where first person motivate second person to buy his product and second motivate third and so on.

What I want to show by above calculation is that it is possible to change India in one month and not everyone needs to work full month. We can reach out to all people in one month if we follow above mentioned calculation. If you will see above table closely, only 1 person has to work whole month. 32768 people have to work for more than 15 days. So what India need is that one person, someone like Gandhi and Chanakya. If God bless India with such one person, we should be ready to change India. Let's be ready!

  1. Good article and even better calculation. I never thought about this. 1 to 1 billion people in just one month. Amazing. Thanks.

  2. Thanks for appreciation! Even I was not convinced first when I was calculating and calculated it more than 10 times to be sure that it is right.

  3. I think, there is one man who has mass appeal among all religions and he is respected by all people who know him. He is Abdul Kalam. What do you think?

  4. Nilesh, you are right. I think, Abdul Kalam is the man who can change India. Here is the link of Abdul Kalam's address on receiving first copy of the Encyclopedia of Hinduism.
